At the first
North Texas Bass Club Challenge tournament on Bob Sandlin there were 15
anglers from Lewisville Bass Anglers competing against 15 anglers from
the Coppell Bass Club. Bob Gross caught the only 5 fish stringer
brought to the scales. He said they were caught on crankbaits. Because
of the penalty for a dead fish, he was bumped to 2nd place. Joey Bryant
took first with a 3 fish stringer that was anchored with a 4.075 lb big
bass. He said his were caught in 20+ feet of water using a Carolina
Rig. There was no report from Scott, who took 3rd, but Gary said his
fish also came on crankbaits. There was also no report from Ron or Jim
on their catches. It was an extremely tough day for catching quality
fish as can be told by the weights. The overall Bass Club winner was
determined by the total weight divided by the number of fishermen.
The results were:
Coppell: 2.672 (pound average)
Lewisville: 1.715 (pound average)
Congratulations
Coppell Bass Club!
